The World Bank Nepal Office in Kathmandu is seeking qualified and experienced candidate as Junior Power Engineer (Short-Term Consultant (STC)) to work as part of the energy team primarily on review of planning, contracting, and execution of hydropower, transmission, and distribution subprojects.

Scope of Work
The candidate will support the programs supported by the the World Bank's Energy and Extractives team working on Nepal's energy sector, including but not limited to:
Working under the general supervision of the task team leaders and team in place for each investment project, the candidate will be responsible for (i) technical review of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution subprojects, as assigned, including basic design, detailed design, technical specifications, cost estimation, project management and implementation, and (ii) technical monitoring of project construction, and project commissioning.
