Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline with the proper accounting system. S/he has to prepare financial reports, presentations and manages day-to-day financial transactions and financial correspondence, realistic analysis of annual budget forecasts, including controlling and monitoring of the budget.  


  • Key Performance Areas and Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and prepares financial reports in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Sets up up-to-date account, manages day-to-day transactions and endorses the reconciliation of accounts every month.
  • Assists the Village Director in providing realistic analysis of annual budget forecasts, including monitoring and expenditure and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Assists in annual reviews and interaction with the internal and external auditors in completing audits
  • Arranges timely payments to staff, suppliers and parties in accordance with financial guidance and procedures.
  • Updates and keeps the record of buildings, vehicles, furniture and other properties of the organization, updates the inventory of the assets as and when it is purchased and makes sure that vehicles and other properties  are insured on time.

Qualification, Experience, and Skills:  


  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Management with one year of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of government regulations in relation to the procurement and accounting system of Nepal will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Nepali and proficiency in computer applications.
  • (Preference will be given to candidates having two-wheeler licenses).
